Also a rare vision problem called Nonarteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION) has been reported, which causes a sudden vision loss in one or both eyes due to a blockage of blood flow to the optic nerve, this is more common in those over 50 years of age, smokers, those that have heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and some existing eye problems.
